Bags are a type of clothing in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that can be worn over the player's top as either backpacks or cross-body bags. The majority of bags can only be purchased from Kicks, while some can be obtained via crafting, from events, or from special characters. 

Here’s how to get bags/Backpacks in Animal Crossing New Horizons:
1. Upgrade the Resident Services Building in Event Plaza.
2. Find Kicks in randomly in the Event Plaza.
3. He only appears once a week and has no set routine. Cycle through his inventory and purchase the backpack.
4. Open your inventory, scroll over to the backpack, and press A to equip.
